HOW TO SET UP PROXY IN YOUR BROWSER

How to set up proxies in your browser, be anonymous and make the passes last longer...

In Internet Explorer

Click "Tools", then "Internet Options", the in the "Conexions" Tab, click the "LAN Setup" Button in the bottom. There is a "Proxy Servers", tick the "Use a proxy....." and then enter the proxy in the bigger textbox and the port (the part that comes after the ":") in the smaller textbox. Hit ok, and then go to "www.whatismyip.com" to see if the proxy is now your IP.


In OPERA (www.opera.com)

Click "Files", then "Preferences", then "Network", then click the button "Proxy Servers", tick "HTTP", fill in with the proxy:port, click ok and voilà ! Don't forget to check with "www.whatismyip.com".


In Firefox

Tools -> Options
Then click the General Icon
Then the "Connection Settings..." button
Then click the "manually configure proxies" radio button, and enter the proxy address and port in the HTTP Proxy area.
Don't forget to check with "www.whatismyip.com".


In Netscape

1. Click Edit
2. Preferances
3. The last button drop menu to the left should be "Advanced", click that
4. Click "Proxies" from the list that drops down
5. Put a dot next to "Manual proxy configuration"
6. Put the proxy in under "HTTP Proxy"

Some questions:

A : Is there anything to be gained by using anon or safeurl?

Q : No, because they have different IP's. If everybody uses given proxy the site presume that this is the same user & that's what we want.

For anyone still not convinced it is well worth the extra 30 secs of your time to use the proxy,think about a time that you totally scored gaining entry to the greatest site you've ever seen. However the very next time you tried it, surely within an hour or two, hehe, it was dead. If everyone used the Proxy provided, it would still be working. Literally for weeks or longer. Not to mention your IP is safe from being tracked. Everytime you tried from a link from somewhere else they never worked. After a while whenever you see a link you that site,you just knew it would be dead. Well, this has got to be the very best forum for providing working links and if you've spent any time here you already know that. The time these crackers put into being able to share great sites is more than anyone would imagine that doesn't even want to take less than a min to use a proxy. Just do it. Everyone will be glad, especially you!
